Upper View Regalia Hotel is definitely in the mood of Christmas judging by the decorations of their front door! We were staying over on a weekday and thankfully there was not many guest. The scenery around the entrance was exquisite and has so many greeneries. There were Koi fishes in the pond as well. The overall feel was very relaxing.

Check in was quick and easy and I was immediately given a car park access card and was told which parking slot I should park to avoid clamping. Upper View Regalia Hotel shares its parking bay and lift with other Airbnb hosts as well as residence who are staying at that area, hence a separate lift card was provided to me for access to lift, as well as swimming pool, and gym area.

The Staycation Experience – Upper View Regalia Hotel

The Room – Executive Skyline

My room is located on the 36th floor, 1 floor below the Infinity Pool. The corridor outside my room was decent and well-maintained. Although it is an apartment hotel, it does scream some full-service hotel vibe.

We were grateful for Upper View Regalia Hotel for sponsoring us to experience their most premium room available, The Executive Skyline. The room was very spacious and there was a balcony along with a bath tub. We got a magnificent view whereby we are able to see the KL Tower, KL Twin Towers, and soon-to-be-completed KL118.

Me and my partner absolutely loved the balcony, and it was very windy during our stay. The bed itself was very comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our sleep after soaking ourselves in the bath tub. As always, we appreciate the toilet being separated from the shower so that it remains ‘clean and dry’. Minibar with coffee and tea are provided in the room, and basic toiletries are also provided.

The facility – Infinity Pool on 37th floor

Shortly after I checked in, I took some photos and started doing some editing and blogging by the working desk in my room. It started to rain and I have to say the air-conditional was freezing in my room when it down-poured. Around 5PM, the rain subsided and it is time to head to the rooftop infinity pool!

The view from the infinity pool was magnificent, and the weather was perfect albeit a little cold as it was raining before. On the left, yours truly got a little excited and took some selfies with my new iPhone 12.

The food – Teh Tarik Place

After a quick dip in the pool, we head down for dinner at Teh Tarik Place, which is opposite of the entrance to our hotel. For your information, breakfast buffet is also served at this restaurant.

We love the interior of the restaurant as it was very spacious and provide a local vibe. It almost feels like a ‘mamak-style’ restaurant which serves local and international cuisine.

To start off our meal, we ordered a local favorite, Milo Dinosaur, which is Milo Ice (chocolate powder), finished with a lot of Milo powder on top. We also ordered Syrup Bandung Lychee, which is pink syrup with condensed milk, as well as lychee. Both drinks were delightful and extremely sweeeeet!

Next, main course! My partner is a big fan of Malaysian cuisine, and she ordered a Nyonya Curry Laksa. Whereas I’m a big fan of western cuisine, hence I ordered a Chicken Alfredo.

The Chicken Alfredo was very creamy and delicious. Chicken seasoned perfectly and noodles were al-dente. The sauce is very thick and cheesy! However, the Curry Laksa tasted a bit mild and there was a lack of saltiness in the soup. Nevertheless, the noodles were very springy and overall all the foods and ingredients are very fresh.

To finish our meal, we also ordered a bread pudding with raisins and vanilla ice-cream. The bread pudding was very fluffy and hot when it’s served, and it goes perfectly with the ice cream. This is definitely a must-order!

After dinner, we head back to our room and it was time for some pictures at our balcony. As night dawned, the city lights are well-lighted and it was a perfect backdrop for taking pictures.

I’ll have to admit that the night mode in iPhone 12 is absolutely amazing, and all photos that we took are as it is without any editing done.

As we had a lot of sugar intake during our dinner, we decided to head back to the pool at 9PM to get some exercise done and to burn off all the sinful calories.

We head back to our room at around 945PM. I was still in awe at the view from our balcony and I decided to head out and took some final pictures and also a selfie!

The next morning, we headed back to the restaurant for breakfast. Breakfast are served buffet-style and it has 2 main different cuisine, western and local Malaysian. I took a bit of both cuisines, whereby I devoured on a plat of flavorful nasi lemak while munching on some toast with butter and hash browns with nuggets and sausages.

We headed back to our room to rest and soon we are checked out of Upper View Regalia Hotel.
