Check in was smooth. Once the check in was done I was immediately escorted to my room.

The Lift

It’s been sometime since I last saw a lift like this. Pretty fun and interesting for kids I supposed, but equally dangerous too.

I like the corridor at Le Embassy. I couldn’t tell why but it could be the design, it felt old school yet modern at the same time. During my stay at Le Embassy, I tend to take the stairs than the lift, as there’s only 1 lift servicing everyone. The lift takes some time to ferry as well. The stairs are not steep, and I would recommend you to take the stairs to save some time if you’re in a rush.

The Room

The room is pretty small, yet is sufficient for a comfortable night stay. For me, I like the shades of gold in the furniture. But unfortunately I am not a big fan of the color tone of the toilet. More on that later.

Basic mini bar was provided with coffee and tea. Canned drinks were also provided in the fridge during my stay. One can get drinking water refilled at the corridor. Unfortunately the room does not provide a luggage area but that is not a big issue.

Refillable water station
toilet

The toilet is pretty basic with basic amenities provided. There is a shower head with ample water pressure. However, no curtains or door to separate the shower from the toilet. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the color-laminated glasses as it turned the toilet into an unpleasant blue/green color. One thing to note, is that Le Embassy uses Rosslyn France shower gel. That’s a HUGE plus point!

Basic bathroom amenities

Breakfast is also provided at Le Embassy Hotel. Guest would be required to choose your choice of selection the day before. Breakfast will be packed and to be collected at lobby the next morning.

I’ve had the opportunity to taste test 3 breakfast sets, which includes Tomyum fried maggie, nasi lemak and a western breakfast set. My favorite and the most unique one has to be the fried maggie. The sourness from the tomyum really worked up my appetite in the morning.

The nasi lemak tasted OK too, not too dry and pretty fragrant. As for the western breakfast, I would love the bread to be toasted, instead of steamed. Otherwise everything else tasted good.

Final Thoughts – Le Embassy Hotel

I’ve had a pleasant stay at Le Embassy Hotel. Personally, the selling point of the hotel has to be the location, as it’s within walking distance to several tourist hotspots. The internal design of the hotel is worth a shoutout too, loving the perfect marriage of heritage and modern concept.

The hotel is also connected to an Asian-Fusion restaurant called CaTCH by D.A.M, and you can check out our review HERE.

We would like to thank Anne and the Le Embassy team for their hospitality and for hosting us for 1 night! We thoroughly enjoyed out stay.
