Situated in the heart KL , Journal Hotel is a stylish boutique hotel with an inviting yet relaxed vibe. Its prime location make it one of the most popular hotels within the vicinity, where it takes less than 5minutes walk to major shopping malls. It is also the house of The Swimming Club, an instagrammable rooftop pool bar, and you can check out the review HERE.
Despite located in a busy area, KL Journal Hotel is hidden in a valley beside the ever-busy Bukit Bintang crossing. Rest-assured that the hotel is petty quiet at night. The hotel is pretty easy to spot, with its modern-design building.
Check-in was pretty smooth, and I am able to get the keys to my room in less than 10 minutes.
First Impression – KL Journal Hotel
The room assigned to me was Superior Deluxe room, and it’s the largest room on offer at KL Journal. The room comes with a King-sized bed, as well as a separate area for group lounging.
As you enter the room, you’re welcomed by the sight of a spacious loaf, with a king bed, working table, lounge area as well as a view of Bukit Bintang.
There is a luggage area large enough to for 2 luggages, a working table, lounge area, and a lounge chair.
Mini bar is also provided, with complimentary drinking waters, canned drinks, coffee and tea.
Bath-robes are made available in this hotel as well.
The bed itself is pretty comfortable, and according to KL Journal, it is a Sealy Posturepedic Mattress.
The toilet in my room is extremely spacious, with the shower and toilet area separated by a glass door.

Final Thoughts
KL Journal Hotel is a modern and affordable boutique hotel located in a prime area within the Bukit Bintang City Centre. Spacious rooms, cool designs, and a picturesque rooftop infinity pool. We did not try their breakfast offerings and will sure be back to try them out next time around!
