Mai House Saigon is one of very few local 5 star hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Created out of passion for the locals and for Vietnam, Mai House Saigon is a piece of timeless architecture, featuring intriguing interiors and plush furnishings that reflects the very best of the locality.
Located in District 3, Mai House Saigon is a local luxury hotel – a very first Vietnamese luxury hotel brand that aims to rival that of big hotel chains. Focused on authenticity and warmth, you will find Mai House Saigon as your luxurious home-away-from-home when you visit Ho Chi Minh City.
First Impression
Mai House Saigon is located in District 3 in Ho Chi Minh City, some 20 minutes away from the airport. As we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed by the bellboys, and were ushered into our check-in area. I was in awe to see the interior design of Mai House Saigon. Everything is very plush and luxurious, and it feels like a shooting set in a French film.
There is a huge spiral stair case that leads to the all-day-dining restaurant, and a very grand chandelier in the middle as well. Right beside the spiral stairs is a piano, and if you are lucky, you can spot someone playing it. There is also a bar, as well as a lounge area in the lobby.
Check in was a breeze, and soon we are given our room keys. Before heading to our room though, we were served a welcome drink – perfect for the hot and humid weather of Ho Chi Minh City.
We find the corridors of Mai House Saigon to be very picturesque too.
Premier King Room
Our room is the Premier King Room, and it is about 34M2. We find the room to be spacious enough for a few nights’ stay, and we especially liked the design and outlay of our room. As we enter the room, there is a luggage area for us to put our luggage.
There is also a working desk by the window.
We also enjoyed the abundance of TV Channels available.
The bed was a good fit for the 2 of us, and were super comfy. We had a very delightful sleep throughout our stay at Mai House Saigon.
The bedroom might look and sound impressive, but both of us unanimously agreed that the bathroom was the most unique part of our room. The French-Indochinese design was very creative and one-of-a-kind, and we also liked the intimacy part where it is see through from the bedroom.
A complete set of luxury toiletries is provided, and replenished daily. Bathroom and toilet are also separated. The bath tub is definitely big enough for 2 person to enjoy comfortably.
Overall, we find our room to be spacious, luxurious and comfortable. We also had some nice views of Ho Chi Minh City through our window.
Breakfast at Mai House Saigon
Breakfast is served at Mai House Saigon’s all-day-dining-restaurant, C’est La Vie.
You can find your usual Western breakfast, along with some local Vietnamese delicacies during the breakfast session. We have had the opportunity to sample some Banh Mi, as well as Pho.
You can also order a freshly-made Vietnamese Coffee, which we enjoyed every morning throughout our stay at the hotel.

Mai House Saigon features a 24/7 gym that is free to use for in-house guests.
The swimming pool is open from 6AM-9PM daily, and non-hotel guest can also use the swimming pool on a pay-per-entry basis.
