Nestled in the Georgetown UNESCO Heritage Area, OZO Penang is the perfect hotel for you to stay when you visit Penang. Whether you are in town for business or leisure, OZO Penang has everything you need, on the tip of your fingers.
As the first OZO brand in Malaysia, the hotel stands tall with different room categories and suites, as well as an infinity pool overlooking the straits of Malacca. Along with a boardroom and a gym, the hotel allows business travelers to have private meetings in the day, and keep fit during the night. Running short on time? You can also enjoy local and international dishes at OZO’s all day dining restaurant.
Superior King Room
The check-in lobby is located on the 20th floor, with a panoramic view of Georgetown. After we have checked in, we were given the keys to our room.
The room is compact, yet comfortable. At 25SQM, the room comes with a working desk, and a separated toilet and shower area. As you enter the room, you would be welcomed by the sight of the magnificent Penang Seaview.
The working desk is not the largest, but sufficient to get your work done.
There is also a sofa by the window. We really liked the mini table provided, we spent time sipping on our coffee while enjoying the sunrise.
The king-bed was very comfortable, and more than enough for 2 person.
Basic toiletries are provided and replenished daily.
The toilet and shower area is seperated.
Facilities at OZO Penang
Swimming pool and gym is located on the top floor. The pool is an infinity pool overlooking the ocean.
The gym also provides a magnifient view.
On our last night, we witnessed a very beautiful sunset.
If you are a frequent traveler to Penang, you would know that Penang is definitely not friendly when it comes to traffic and finding a parking. Fret not! If you are driving to OZO Penang, you can park at the Automated Parking System!
Food at OZO Penang
Breakfast is served at the all-day-dining restaurant. If you want a seat by the window, you would need to go early! Breakfast was standard, with an array of selection of local and western dishes.
We also had the opportunity to have lunch at OZO Penang. We tried the Korean burger, as well as the fish n chips.
Served with a sunny side up, the newly launched Korean Burger was very flavorful. However, it was not as spicy as we initially thought.
The fish n chip was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, and the fish was juicy and sweet on the inside.
Final Thoughts
OZO Penang is perfect for those looking at staying in a hotel that provides a great panoramic view of Georgetown and The Straits of Malacca. The strategic location of the property means it is surrounded by famous local eateries, and not far from the beach area as well as the airport.
