Gazing to the shores of the Straits of Malacca, and nestled in the heart of Queensbay, Eastin Hotel Penang is strategically located just 15 minutes away from the historical town of Georgetown, and 10 minutes away from Penang International Airport. The lobby area of Eastin Hotel is very spacious and welcoming, also the glass windows allow for many sunlight to shine in, creating a very cozy atmosphere. Check in was quick and efficient too.

It was extremely comfortable doing work at this working area.
Living area was very spacious as well.
Complimentary mini-bar.
Eastin Hotel is very generous with the mini-bar!
Guest toilet behind the mini bar area, right by the entrance.
The one bedroom shares the same view as the living area. Bed was super comfy too.
We had a wonderful 2-night sleep here.
Do not worry. Blinds can be put down for privacy.
Full set of toiletries are provided and replenish daily.
Bath tub. Shower area is seperated.
Eastin Executive Lounge
I have Executive Lounge access throughout my stay at Eastin Hotel Penang. You can head up to the lounge for breakfast, grab some fruit juice and coffee in the afternoon, and enjoy alcohol and hot food in the evening.
There is also a daily rotational fresh juice in the lounge.
If you are undecided on whether to go to the lounge for breakfast, or head down to the main breakfast area, here’s our suggestion. If you prefer privacy and do not have a huge appetite, head up to the lounge. Otherwise, indulge in an array of different selections of cuisines including local, western, and even Japanese at the main breakfast area!
Eastin Breakfast
We highly recommend you to go early for breakfast, to avoid the crowds.
Fresh honeycomb anyone?
Wok-fried Char Kuey Teow! A Penang staple.
Dinner at Lobby Lounge Eastin Hotel
We also had dinner at Lobby Lounge. Food, coffee, and alcohol is served here.
The seafood soup was average, but the satay stole the show with a well-marinated and succulent meat.
We find the combination of Crab meat and watermelon to be quite delicious, and the salmon was yummy too, albeit slightly overcooked.
We also had to try Char Kuey Teow. Portion was huge and comes with jumbo prawns.
Gym and Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is separated into a kid’s pool and adult’s pool. There is ample space for guests to chill around the pool area. Occasionally, you will be able to witness planes flying over the pool at very close proximity too.
The pool at night is pretty too.
Gym is very huge for a hotel. You have all your usual suspects, and more than enough to burn your fats while you eat all of Penang has to offer.
