Limit Up Fusion Cafe is an old school shop lot-turned cafe hidden away in the quite streets of Lorong Carnarvon. Serving fusion and Asian dishes, Limit Up Fusion Cafe is the perfect place to go for your Asian Fusion cravings.
This is a family run business and we found the service of the daughter, as well as lady boss to be welcoming and friendly. Here are some of the foods we tried.
For starters, we have a hot and sour Szechuan soup. The soup, to our surprise, has a tomato base. It also consists of some crab meats, mushrooms and chilies. For me, I find it interesting and would recommend you guys to try out this out-of-the-box Szechuan soup.
As recommended by the chef’s daughter, we had the braised lamb shank with Paratha bread. The meat is fall-off-the-bone tender, and the paratha bread is buttery and crispy. We also loved the sauce – full of lamb flavor. The meat itself is not so gamy as well.
We also tried their Garlic Fish, which they uses Kurau fish instead of the traditional dory fish you find in mainstream cafes. The fish is juicy on the inside, and tender on the outside. The fish was lightly fried, ad sprinkled with fried garlic, absolutely tasty.
Final Thoughts
All in all, we felt that the food at Limit Up Fusion Cafe is pretty decent, and it is worth a visit when you’re at Penang. Prices were affordable and food was tasty.
