We had a flight to Penang early morning the very next day. As you may know, I like to travel with a peace of mind. Hence, I decided to stay 1 night before my flight at Aerotel, a subsidiary of Plaza Premium Group. The group comprises four core business segments – airport lounges Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge(PPL); airport terminal hotels Aerotel and Refreshhh by Aerotel; airport meet & greet services ALLWAYS and a range of Airport Dining concepts. In Malaysia, there are a total of 4 PPLs, 2 Wellness Spas and 1 Aerotel in KL, 2 PPLs in Penang, 1 PPL in Langkawi, and 1 PPL in Kuching. First Impression – Aerotel KLIA2
The entrance to Aerotel is pretty easy to locate. Aerotel KLIA2 is located at landside, which is before immigration. It is also located right beside Plaza Premium Lounge, which you can check the review of the lounge HERE. Once I have arrived at Aerotel, I was greeted by the front desk and got myself checked in in less than 5 minutes.
The Room
The room assigned to me was a Double Plus room, which is the biggest room available for 2 Pax. There are a total of 71 rooms in Aerotel, suitable for solo travelers and up to a family of 4 person.
As a transit hotel, Aerotel offers all the basic amenities you need. For me, that is enough and comfortable for a 1-night stay. The toilet has a single vanity with basic toilet amenities provided. The shower and toilet area is separated by a glass.
There is a long table under the TV, and that was my spot for me to work on this blog. It is also the only spot in your room to eat if you decide to have your lunch/dinner in the room. Complimentary mini bar consisting of tea, coffee and bottled waters are also provided.
The bed is a queen-sized bed that is comfortable for 2 person.
Food at Aerotel KLIA 2
Each booking at Aerotel allows you to have a set meal at Plaza Premium Lounge KLIA2, which is right beside Aerotel. There are a few selection for you to choose, and I decided to go for Arrabiata Pasta (Vegetarian). The set meal also comes with a choice of beverage (coffee, tea, and canned drinks). Alcohol, unfortunately, is not part of the offered selection.
Final Thoughts
Aerotel KLIA2 is definitely a great place for you to stay if you have an early flight the next day. It is conveniently located inside KLIA2, and is within walking distance to the check-in counters.
