Stay with Nimman is located in Chiang Mai’s latest bustling neighborhood of Nimman Road. It is located within walking distance to boutique cafes, award-wining roasteries, Michelin-starred eateries as well as shopping malls. Maya Shopping Mall, as well as One Nimman, is within 5 minutes walk away. The Chiang Mai old town, as well as the weekend night markets are just 5 minutes drive away as well.
First Impression
There are actually 2 buildings located at Stay with Nimman. Both buildings has guests rooms, but the lobby is located in the building that is nearer to the main road. The other building houses the breakfast area, as well as Stay with Nimman’s own Café.
I really liked the lobby at Stay with Nimman. Floor-to-ceiling glasses allow a lot of sunlight through, and that is very refreshing and welcoming. I arrived at 1230PM and was told my room was not ready. I then head out and just 2 minutes walk away was a restaurant that specializes in Khao Soi Kai, which is on the Michelin Guide!
I returned at around 130PM and I was informed my room was ready. My room is located on the second building and the bellboy was kind enough to send my luggage up to my room.
In the second building, there is a public space, I guess for guests to mingle around as well as for you to wait for your taxi/grab.
The Room
My room is located on the 7th floor of the building, which is the second tallest floor. As I open the door, I was welcomed by the sight of my large bed. There is a sofa by the bed as well. On the other side of the bedroom, there is also a chair by the window.
There is a long table under the TV, presumable for me to put all my random stuff. I also ate some food I brought back on the long table.
The room is separated into half, with the other half being the bathroom. There is a luggage area to put your luggage.
There is also an open wardrobe to hang your clothes, and bath robes are provided as well. I personally really liked the bath robes at Stay with Nimman, it was pretty comfortable. Mini Bar is provided too, with complimentary bottled waters, as well as coffee and tea.
I really liked the bathroom in my room. It was very spacious and comfortable. There are 2 vanities in the toilet, with basic toilet amenities for use.
The favorite part of the toilet was the bathtub, it was quite huge and the water filled up very fast. I really enjoyed my time soaking in the bathtub.
The toilet, as well as the shower, is separated into 2 cubicles.
The Facilities – Stay with Nimman
Both the gym and swimming pool is located on the 8th floor of the building. The gym is open 24 hours. Thought it is small in size, the gym is equipped for a light workout session.
Located on the same floor is the rooftop swimming pool. The pool has great views of Chiang Mai city, and you would be able to witness the sunset amidst mountainous landscape on a clear day. The pool is pretty decent in size, but does have a Jacuzzi pool.
The Breakfast
Breakfast is served at Stay’s Dining Room located on my block. It is a breakfast buffet, whilst you would be able to order egg dish with the waiter. The breakfast buffet is pretty small, but has a great variety of Western and Thai dishes. Overall I would say the breakfast is pretty satisfactory.
Final Thoughts
If you enjoy café hopping, or shopping, you should definitely stay at Stay with Nimman. It is within walking distance to Chiang Mai’s shopping district, and is a stone’s throw away from many Instagrammable café and eateries.
