Amari Hotel Kuala Lumpur – Hotel Review 2022

Being the first hotel under the Amari brand to enter Klang Valley, Amari Hotel Kuala Lumpur has some serious competition to fight off the ever-growing group of consumers. Amari Hotel Kuala Lumpur is located in Eco City, an integrated mixed-use development, opposite the Mid Valley Megamall.

Amari Hotel KL caters to business and leisure travelers alike. Due to its strategic location, it is within 10 minutes drive away from KL Sentral, and is walking distance to both LRT and KTM.

We also stayed at Amari SPICE Penang, and you can check out our review HERE.

First Impression

I decided to take grab for my first visit to Amari Hotel. I would have to admit that, although you could see the building from afar, it was not an easy drive for my driver as he was struggling to find the entrance of the hotel. I do appreciate that there were multiple signage along the way, but there were just too many intersections that my driver got very confused.

Entrance

Nonetheless, upon entering the lobby, I was greeted by this very spacious lobby with vibrant colors. I was also welcomed by the reception, and soon was checked into my room in less than 10 minutes.

Lobby

Because Amari is still a rather new hotel, there were very few people checking in. That being said, many sitting areas are located around the lobby. If the check in gets very busy, there should be enough space to accommodate quite a few people. I was also very impressed by some of the artworks in and around the property.

Right beside the check-in lobby was Cascade, a vibrant lobby-level lounge and bar. Coffee and alcohol is available, alongside some light pastries. Unfortunately, I did not manage to try the food at Cascade this time around, but the environment looks good to me.

The Room – Deluxe King

My room is a Deluxe King Room, located on the 17th floor. Upon entering the room, you would notice the open wardrobe on your right.

Open Wardrobe

It is fitted with a luggage area as well. We also enjoyed the bathrobes, super comfy.

Toilet Area

The opposite would be the toilet area. I loved how there is an area to place your towel, instead of hanging it by the door (like many other hotel does). The toilet is quite spacious, with a separated toilet and shower area.

The water pressure was super strong.

Toilet amenities are provided. Though, you will have to request for a shaver if you need one.

Mini-bar

The mini-bar consists of bottled water bottle, and instant tea and coffee. I was also given a box of Artisan Handmade Chocolate as my welcome gift!

This is the sofa area, but for me I spent most of my time lounging here and watching Netflix! Amari Hotel Kuala Lumpur located quite close to Mercu 3, so I would suggest drawing the blinds for some privacy.

Lounging Sofa

There is also a working desk.

Working Desk

The bed itself is very comfortable. I slept like a baby during my 2 nights stay at Amari Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The Breakfast – Amaya Food Gallery

Breakfast buffet is served daily at Amaya Food Gallery, Amari’s all-day-dining-restaurant. Selections include local, Asian and Western. I was very impressed by the beverage section, as there’s unlimited smoothies on offer.

The Facilities

There is a gym as well as a swimming pool, located on the same floor as Amaya Food Gallery. The gym oversees the swimming pool and availability of equipment are pretty decent. The pool itself is clean and perfect for a couple of lap swim.

Final Thoughts

Featuring 252 rooms, Amari Hotel Kuala Lumpur is perfect for a business stay or a weekend staycation. It’s connectivity to multiple highways and public transportations are top-notch, and is surrounded by 2 shopping malls and multiple cafes and restaurants.
