Wyndham Bangkok Queen Convention Centre – Hotel Review 2022

Wyndham Bangkok Queen Convention Centre is a modern hotel located within walking distance to the largest convention center in Bangkok, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC). The MRT station, is also just a 1 minute walk away from the hotel. Wyndham Bangkok Queen is part of the wider Wyndham Hotels and Resorts that has multiple property in central Bangkok, including Ramada by Wyndham Bangkok Sukhumvit, Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside, as well as Wyndham Garden Bangkok Sukhumvit.

One thing to note, somehow taxis and grabs are finding it difficult to locate the entrance of the hotel. On a couple of occasion, our grab misses the entrance and had to make a U-turn. Just something to take note of. On first glance, we felt that the property was sparkling clean and brand new – and we weren’t wrong! This property was only opened back in 2020.

Reception and Lobby Area

Check in was efficient, and we were led to our room by the bellman.

Upon entering our room, we found the design and layout to be smartly designed to maximize space, though we would prefer a slightly bigger room.

Living Area
Dining Table

There is a kitchenette in the room, where lite cooking is permitted with induction cooker, as well as utensils provided. There is also a microwave. Mini-bar is complimentary, consisting of tea bags, coffee and bottled drinking water.

Kitchenette

The bed is very comfortable and enjoyed our sleep. There is a mini workstation beside the bed. On the right of the bed is the toilet. There is also a mini closet where bathrobes are provided.

Entrance to bathroom

There is no bathtub in our room, but the toilet was separated into a dry and wet area. The dry area (toilet) is where you do your daily business, and the sink is here as well. Whereas the wet area (shower) is separated by a glass door. Basic toiletries are provided too!

Facilities

Both the pool and gym is located on the higher floors of the hotel. The gym has a lot of natural sunlight and suitable for both light and heavy sessions. The swimming pool features an infinity-pool view of the bustling city of Bangkok.

The Breakfast – Wyndham Bangkok Queen

Breakfast is served at Wyndham Bangkok Queen’s all day dining restaurant, Marie Guimar. We also tried out the dinner at this well-designed restaurant, and you can check out our comprehensive review HERE.

For guest staying at Wyndham Bangkok Queen, breakfast is served ala-carte buffet style. One can order as many ala-carte as they want. The breakfast offerings at Marie Guimar is pretty extensive I would say.

Breakfast Menu

Each set comes with a choice of drink, pastries and fruits.

During my stay, I’ve managed to try 4 main dishes. On the first day, I tried the Thai Fried Rice with Prawn, as well as the Marie Guimar Poached Egg

On the second day, I went with the Pan Cake with Bacon and Grilled Pork with Steamed Glutinous Rice. All the dishes were delightful and very yummy.

Final Thoughts

We really enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Bangkok Queen. If you’re looking for a hotel that is located very near to public transports, have many eateries around the hotel, and is within distance to Bangkok’s commercial district, we’d highly recommend you to check out Wyndham Bangkok Queen.
